Renewals of forests

Renewals are understood as forming new tree stands in place of removed ones. This includes:

- artificial renewals, which are tree crops established through planting or sowing,

- natural renewals, which are tree crops formed in woodland areas through self-seeding and offshoots, considered as full value, and covering at least 50% of the area.

Artificial renewals are performed on open areas, i.e. on complete felling sites, on blanks and on irregularly

stocked open stands, and on the areas covered by tree stands (as a result of cuts performed through complex fellings).
