Labour Force Survey

The Labour Force Survey is a probability sample survey carried out quarterly as a continuous survey. This means that in each of 13 weeks in a quarter interviewers visit 1/13 of randomly sampled dwellings and collect data. Results of the survey are then generalized over the total population basing on the census. Quarterly data are recalculated into average annual data. The survey covers persons aged 15 years and older, who are members of households in randomly selected dwellings - not covered by the survey are persons living outside the household (e.g. residing abroad) 12 months or more (till the second quarter of 2012 it was above 3 months). The survey does not include households in collective accommodation.
